Hey! I did a collection with Casetify!

¡Hola amigos!

This is freaking awesome! When los amigos from Casetify contacted me to work on a collaboration together I couldn’t believe it. “Really?” I said.

Well yes, they had taken a look into my previous work and apparently my aesthetic fits with what they wanted so we decided to go for it and create a collection together; phone cases and accessories with my creations!

And for those who don’t know, Casetify is a company based in Hong Kong / Los Angeles that designs and produces all these kinds of items for electronic devices. It is one of the biggest of its industry and they work a lot with influencers from Instagram.

The brief was simple and perfect; I had to create anything that would represent my artistic voice and aesthetic, so carte blanche! These kinds of projects are amazing because it allows you to experiment and play around with your own style and voice, and continue to enjoy what I love doing; creating illustrations. It was very stimulating.

Another reason why I love these projects ( I call them co-creations) is that it brings me the opportunity of creating a design for a product that otherwise would have been very difficult to create on my own. The product design world is very big and overwhelming, and phone cases and accessories in a niche with its own complexities. That is why co-creations are a perfect example for exploring new ventures like decoration, clothing, etc…. and that way I get to discover more hues and tones of my own artistic voice.

The collection will be available in less than a year and after that, we’ll see if we work on a new one, haha!

You can choose the type of phone case you want, being able to change the color, material, finishing, and design. This is very cool because you can buy fun combinations and make your own funky version that I wouldn’t have even thought of myself! And that I love. The final client gets to do its own product.

Here is the link to the collection: Rocio Egio x Casetify I hope you love them!

Thanks for reading and have a joyful day amigo!
